HOW IT ALL STARTED​

A while ago, the founder was struggling to find her path into the tech world. Coming from a background where she never had to look for a job, she had to start from scratch to transition into tech. With a growth mindset and relentless practice, she successfully secured 5 internships in roles she was passionate about within a year of her MSc program. In that same period, while searching deeply for tech knowledge, she learnt data analysis, business analysis, project management, virtual assistant, cybersecurity etc. Along the way, she realized how confusing and intimidating it can be to enter the tech industry without guidance especially for the Black Community and for Women. That’s why she started EPI-Tech – to be the mentor she wished she had when she was starting out. In her 6 years in the professional world, she has managed projects that delivered values, and more importantly, she has mentored several people, helping them build career confidence.
